Feel Good French Toast

Something delicious to get all of us through the weekend. You may remember my post Internetz, you make me cranky which shared a dish very similar to this.

I decided to make it healthy and share it with you asit really is a delicious way to start the day – so as you’re running into the supermarket tomorrow afternoon to grab the last things you need for the weekend, why not get the ingredients for this and treat yourself. It will be worth it.


  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 4 strawberries quartered
  • 1 banana sliced
  • 4 slices of sourdough


  • place beaten eggs in a flat bottomed bowl. Lay bread one or two peices at a time, depending on the size of your bowl, in the egg for 1 – 2 minutes each side.
  • Fry in a non stick frypan (non stick so you don’t need to add any oil or butter) until each side is golden brown.
  • Repeat until all bread and egg is used.
  • Serve 2 peices of french toast on a plate with 2 strawberries and half a banana


Tip: If you HAVE to have something sweet with it, try Agave nectar.

  1. Hubby just bought a box of bananas (on sale woohoo – what a waste) & I was wondering what I could make from 1/2 of them (besides smoothies, cake & choc banana pizza) – these look great, just called the family over for breakky tomorrow – thanks for idea.
