So often we think that “bettering ourselves” is all about what we do for us.
Exercise, food, sleep, time out.
What a lot of people don’t realise is it’s not just about you and your life.
Bettering yourself means helping others as well.
And so I decided to create a challenge for myself.
You can join too, if you would like. I don’t only want to be a better me physically – I want to be a better me emotionally and mentally.
I want my children to grow up knowing how important their words can be, how much it can mean to hear “You did a good job” or “I’m lucky to know you.”
Sometimes, it’s the only thing you need. Someone to tell you how they feel about you when you’re having a low day. When nothing seems right, a little ray of sunshine can come in the form of a compliment.
And so my challenge for the week:
I know there are lots of challenges. I don’t expect you to take photos, or even tell me about it if you don’t want to.
No one will know, but you and the people who you make smile unless you want them to.
I would love for you to tell me how you go and next week I will tell you how I go when I post the next challenge.
